Emergency Responder User Page Web Alert Refresh / Applet Not Running

We have a new installation of CER 10.5 up and running, however the web alert in the user page is not refreshing automatically when 911 calls are placed or at the 30 second interval. We have JavaScript (JRE version 8 update 73) enabled in the browsers (IE 11 and Chrome 50). The following message appears: Applet for refreshing this page during an emergency call is not running. If JavaScript is enabled, this page will be refreshed every 30 seconds. If JavaScript is disabled, click the 'Refresh Now' button to refresh this page.

Any help as to how to get this applet running would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

-Mike M.

Hi Mike,

Looks like you may be hitting this CER 10.5 bug;

https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCuv14098

Web Alert on CERUser page does not refresh when a 911 call is made
CSCuv14098
Symptom:
The Web Alerts in CER 10.x are not refreshed automatically when a 911 call is made.

Conditions:
Navigate to the CERUser page and log in. Click Web Alert, and you will see any alerts that have not been acknowledged. If you place a new emergency call, the page is not automatically refreshed.

Workaround:
Manually refresh the page, by clicking Web Alert.

Thanks for the response Rob. I see the bug report shows no fixed release, do you know this to be accurate?

Mike - did you ever open a TAC case on this to get more detail on why this was Terminated?  Running into the same situation and wondering if it's still an issue with 11.x.

Thanks,
Dan

Hi Mike,

You are most welcome my friend!

Cisco has decided this is acceptable by the looks of things (from the bug notes);

Status:
Terminated
No release planned to fix this bug
