Expantion module stopped working after firmware update to uc520

I have recently upgraded my UC520 to software pack 8.2, and since then, the expansion module(7916 24 key) connected to the Cisco IP phone 7965 has stopped working. It just has the Cisco logo and all buttons are lit orange.  I have already tried to reflash the software(ensureing to select support for all phones and the expansion module), clearing all settings, deleteing the phone that its attached to in the CCA, rebooted phone several times, removed expansion copletly and reinstalled.  Any idea what may of caused this or how to resolve the issue?
