Hi Charlie,

No worries

Let's say that the user's old number was 6345 and the new number is

7777.

1. Find the 6345 phone in CUCM via Device>Phone>search>DN 6345

2. change the DN page in CUCM via Device>Phone>6345 device>DN config

   to 7777

3. go to Call Routing>Route Plan Report>Unused DN's>find and delete DN 6345

4. go Device>CTI-RP>Add new> configure 1st page with appropriate CSS etc>Save

5. at bottom of page you will see "add a DN">add 6345>set callForward All to 7777

    with proper CSS

6. save

Cheers!

Hi Rob

Well described, but i have a question - out of intrest why do you need to user CTI RP to enable call Frwd from one number to an other one...rather enable CFWA on the DN page...?

Kind Regards

Pramoth

Hi Pramoth,

Good question

The reason we are using a CTI-RP is that Charlie was looking for

a "virtual" solution as the physical phone was to be re-assigned.

https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2173111?tstart=0

I did offer up the DN page option in my first response but also noted

that I prefer the CTI-RP method. DN's that float around without being

able to be easily referenced tend to either disappear or be lost and

forgotten which isn't great when we are paying for DID/DDI numbers

Cheers!
