We recently switched from having a shared mailbox for multiple people. (this caused all kinds of issues) To a distribution group. In the past... the receptionist could forward messages to the shared mailbox.
However, now when forwarding messages. She gets "extension not found"
We have a System Call Handler... with extension 89222 for example. Calls are directed to this number. And it marks messages for dispatch and sends to everyone in a distribution list. (10 members)
This works great. However forwarding messages from other users to this extension... results in "extension not found"
Any solutions? Or are we just stuck moving back to a group mailbox.
Thanks.

Unfortunately I think you’re stuck. You can’t forward a message to a Call Handler and while you can forward it to a Distribution List, only a Call Handler can mark a message for dispatch delivery. Please speak to your Cisco AM about the shortcoming here and how it doesn’t meet your needs. Dispatch messaging is such a great feature except for this and the inability to accept/defer/reject the message over any interface other than the TUI (eg Jabber VVM or SIB).

Are you using different search scope in your call handler ?

Hi there. Same search scope and partition. Also tried keeping the search scope at the default of inherited. Same thing.
