from 7.1 to 9.1 - Extension Mobility

Hello,

We have upgraded our CUCM from 7.1 to 9.1 (9.1.2.10000-28). After the upgrade, the Extension Mobilty could not work on IP Communicator until we removed the secure URL in the service. (it worked on other hard phones).

Have anyone faced with this before? and how could this be explained? Can we use secure url again?

This is documented by this defect

http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCtx18810.  Cisco IP Communicator (CIPC) does not support a secure URL for Extension Mobility (EM) so the workaround is exactly what you did, configure a non-secure URL only for EM on CIPC.

Thanks for the reply.

In the bug details, workaround is using non-secure URL or using CCM 9.0 or later. In our case, CCM version is 9.1. So I guess this bug is happening again with CCM9.1.
