FXO module needed.

Hello,

Currently we have integrated all analog FXO lines from the PSTN with our CUCM and IP phones system.

we are running out of the 4 available VIC2-4FXO on the both 2911 h323 voice gateways.

am searching if any available isolated separate devices to host more analog PSTN ports and control them through the IP phones and Cisco CUCM ver. 11.

Ideas needed, thank you all in advance,

M.R.

In the ISR G2 you could use the EVM-HD-
8FXS/DID module with two EM-HDA-6FXO daughter cards to get additional capacity. You would also need to use the SM-NM-ADPTR  since the EVM was originally designed for the G1 slots.

All of that is end of sale though so you would need to find it on the resale market. Currently shipping options would be a new ISR 4K router with NIM modules or the VG400-6FXS/6FXO. At least in the US, we never have this level of FXO port density because they become more expensive than either an ISDN PRI or a SIP trunk. Either ISDN or SIP is a far more capable circuit anyway (eg our of band signaling which is required for features such as Single Number Reach, ability to convey ANI, etc). I suggest checking to see if you can move away from the analog loops before sinking more money into them.
