I'm looking for a way to monitor our FXO ports to confirm that the phone line attached to the port is still in service. Does anyone know if this is possible?

This post seems the most relevant. "https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/1135050#1135050". I'm looking to monitor if the phone line is in service and we have loop start phone lines. It appears like I cannot monitor this.
