How to remove IM and Presence servers from CUCM cluster

Hello,

we installed 2 IM & presence servers to test Jabber and now we have decided not to use it.

I googled how to remove safely those 2 servers but did not find any documentation.

Has anybody already done such a thing and could give me some pointers ?

What version of CUCM/IMP are you using? What you are doing is not dangerous as long as you are careful about what components you are removing/modifying.

My general suggestion is to go through the integration documentation for CUCM/IMP and 'reversing" the process, making sure that any components you remove or modify don't muck up something else. That said, do a full back up of absolutely everything before you begin. (Or shut and snap the VMs so you can revert, but that will take your systems offline for some time.)

Once that is complete, it is a simple matter to remove the servers from the cluster.
