Hi folks,

So my client has several E1's for outgoing and incoming call. They want me to take down the E1/E1's that has no activity at all to save some money.

Is there any command to see which E1 in my voice gateway that has no activity at all? I have 5 VG, and on each VG has several E1's, my job is to determine which E1's has no acitivty at all, and take it down.

Thx.

Note : i'm not collaboration certiied engineer, just a ccna rs guy.

I don´t see a specific command to do that

But a way to do it would be collecting router logs and checking ISDN messages, issuing the command

sh log | i %ISDN-6

Then you should be able to see all E1 connections and calls activities

You might need to use a text tool or spreadsheet to filter the proper information you want

Hope this helps

Hello,

The show CLIs "show voice port summary" & "show voice call summary"will show you the E1 channel being used during a call.
For your analysis, you can capture/monitor the output of this CLI at regular intervals and during the busy hours / peak times to check which E1's are being used.

Hope this helps !
