Dear members,

We will upgrade our IM & Presence server from version 11.0 t 12.0 and the upgrade file is not available on Cisco's website.

Does anyone have the following ISO 12.0.1.10000-12 and can share it with me?

Thank you,

Lara

You want to upgrade to 12.5, not 12.0

12.0 already has an EOL announcement

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/unified-communications/unified-communications-manager-callmanager/eos-eol-notice-c51-743485.html

And any new features will be on 12.5

Hello Jaime,
Our customer is still on ESXi 5.5, so we will first upgrade the UC servers to 12.0 then upgrade ESXi to 6.5 and then UC servers to 12.5
Any chance you might have the ISO in subject?
Regards,

You would need to reach out to your SE and see if he can help with this.

When we updated from 11.5 to 12.5 we just used the files available on Cisco software download page. It does state it’s for updates from 12.x, but it works as well for upgrade from 11.x.

On a side note, I would recommend to upgrade ESXi first to not need to do a two step upgrade of your UC systems. It would likely be easier and faster.

Hello Roger,
If we start with the ESXi upgrade, we can only upgrade to version 6.0 as CUCM 11.0 is not supported on higher versions. So in this case the upgrade will be as follows: ESXi to 6.0 > UC to 12.0 > ESXi to 6.7 > UC to 12.5 and we have another option which is UC upgrade to 12.0 > ESXi to 6.5 > UC to 12.5 > ESXi to 6.7 so in both cases it is going to be a 2 step upgrade
Regards,

That is true if you absolutely want to stay within the confound of what is supported. However running on a higher version of ESXi for a short period than stated in the matrix should likely be fine as long as you don’t also update the hardware compatibility level on the VMs during this time. We had our sandbox and development UC environments running for some time on ESXi 6.7 before Cisco came out saying that this version was supported without any issues noticed.
