IMP: Two domain that are connected through VPN: is it inter-domain or inter-cluster

Hello,

I want to connect two domains (domainA and DomainB) that are using Jabber on each domain.

The two site are connected through a VPN.

I want that the two domains can make IM&P and call between them.

What is suitable for this: the inter-cluster Peer or the inter-domain federation or the intradomain Federation?

Regards,

Antra

Inter cluster peer requires the same domain to be used, you can just do an XMPP federation between your two servers.

Calls would depend on your setting that on CUCM to integrate the clusters.

Thank you for your answer.

The two sites use ICT (inter-cluster-trunk).

CUCM is Restricted in the first side and the other side is Unrestricted.

That should be fine, as long as you don't expect encrypted calls to happen between them.

Hello,

Is there any document for this direct XMPP integration.

How to do it? I'm new on this.

All documents that I've seen always use the Expressway-C and E.

Antra

Search cisco.com for "im and presence + federation" to get all the documentation.
