Implement rollover lines in CME

Calin Lupas

We need to move some phones from CUCM to CME. Below is the configuration of a phone in CUCM. How should we set it up in CME since there is no concept like partitions. We would want to use the same number 2947760 on the 7914 addon module on almost every line.

We need to set up the side card of 17 phones with the same settings and is there a way to automate this process?

Hi Calin,

As Chris nicely noted, this type of config is a tad "old school" (+5 "C") but some of

our users prefer the visual "line per button" aspect of this as well

In CME you can approximate this setup with Overlaid DN's and the x keyword

as shown here;

Extending Calls for Overlaid Ephone-dns to Other Buttons on the Same Phone

Cheers!

There is a concept of CSS/PT in CME it is called COR lists.

The question here is why do you want the rollovers since CME supports octo DNs?

The rollover config in CUCM was a concept on CUCM versions prior to 4.0 (years ago) where call waiting (busy trigger) was not available and this was the only way to get more than 1 inbound call per phone.

The users want the "line per button". They are used to use the phones like this.

Thank you for your help. We'll read the documentation and come up with a solution for this. That link is a good start for us.
