Hello.

I am trying to request my licenses on "www.cisco.com/go/license" and I get the following message:

"Assign to a Target Device"
"Paste the content of the License Request provided by Enterprise License Manager below:"

See the image below.

I don't know what to do.
Can you help me?
Is there an ELM server in a Cisco ISR 4331 with CUCME 10.5?

License requestLicense request

Best regards.

Hi,

there is no ELM server in CUCME.

In case , if u have CUCM , then, u need to copy the contents from ELM and paste it on the snapshot  attached by you to get licenses.

Lastly, the snapshot shows licenses only for Unity Connection.

you can refer the link

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/admin/configuration/manual/cmeadm/cmeover.html

Cisco Unified CME Permanent License

When you purchase a Cisco Unified CME permanent license, the permanent license is installed on the device when the product is shipped to you. A permanent license never expires and you will gain access to that particular feature set for the lifetime of the device across all IOS release. If you purchase a permanent license for Cisco Unified CME , you do not have to go through the Evaluation Right to Use and Right To Use (RTU) licensing processes for using the features. If you want to purchase a CME-SRST license for your existing device, you have to go through the RTU licensing process for using the features. There is no change in the existing process for purchasing the license.

The Cisco Unified CME permanent license is available in the form of an XML cme-locked3 file. You should get the XML file and load it in the flash memory of the device. To install the permanent license from the command prompt, use the license install flash0:cme-locked3 command. The cme-locked3 is the xml file of the license.

Hello.

You mean "good" as far as CUCME is concerned...

Thank you.

Hello again.
The other day, when I ran the command "max-pool", I got the message below.
Does it mean I'll be blocked after 60 days?
Thank you.

isr4331(config-register-global)# max-pool 2
         Feature Name:cme-srst

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING TERMS CAREFULLY. INSTALLING THE LICENSE OR
LICENSE KEY PROVIDED FOR ANY CISCO PRODUCT FEATURE OR USING SUCH
PRODUCT FEATURE CONSTITUTES YOUR FULL ACCEPTANCE OF THE FOLLOWING
TERMS. YOU MUST NOT PROCEED FURTHER IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO BE BOUND
BY ALL THE TERMS SET FORTH HEREIN.

Use of this product feature requires an additional license from Cisco,
together with an additional payment. You may use this product feature
on an evaluation basis, without payment to Cisco, for 60 days. Your use
of the product, including during the 60 day evaluation period, is
subject to the Cisco end user license agreement
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/general/warranty/English/EU1KEN_.html
If you use the product feature beyond the 60 day evaluation period, you
must submit the appropriate payment to Cisco for the license. After the
60 day evaluation period, your use of the product feature will be
governed solely by the Cisco end user license agreement (link above),
together with any supplements relating to such product feature. The
above applies even if the evaluation license is not automatically
terminated and you do not receive any notice of the expiration of the
evaluation period. It is your responsibility to determine when the
evaluation period is complete and you are required to make payment to
Cisco for your use of the product feature beyond the evaluation period.

Your acceptance of this agreement for the software features on one
product shall be deemed your acceptance with respect to all such
software on all Cisco products you purchase which includes the same
software. (The foregoing notwithstanding, you must purchase a license
for each software feature you use past the 60 days evaluation period,
so that if you enable a software feature on 1000 devices, you must
purchase 1000 licenses for use past the 60 day evaluation period.)

Activation of the software command line interface will be evidence of
your acceptance of this agreement.

CME-SRST is by default in a EULA not accepted, not active state. When you first configured either telephony or voice register global and add the provisioning for phones, you will have to accept the user agreement.

Alternatively you could have done "license accept end user agreement" and it would have done the same thing.

Hello Nipun.
Sorry but it's not very clear to me.
About:

isr4331(config-register-global)# max-pool 2
         Feature Name:cme-srst
PLEASE  READ THE  FOLLOWING TERMS  CAREFULLY.
etc.

in my previous post, what will happen after 60 days?
Thank you.

If you look at the feature "cme-srst" through "show license all", you would see if in Eval Right to Use. After 8 weeks and 4 days, the status will move to Right to Use. You don't need to worry about anything. Your services will remain functional.

Hello Nipun.

Thank you for your answer. It's comforting.

At the beginning of my post, I mentioned ELM (Enterprise License Manager).

Aman told us "there is no ELM server in CUCME".

Now, someone from "licensing@cisco.com" tells me to log into PLM (Prime License Manager).

Is it the same as ELM or is it available in CUCME?
Thank you and best regards.

You can ignore both ELM/PLM since you have CUCME. You need to mention to licensing that this is a CUCME system and not CUCM.

Ok. Thank you very much.

In addition to what Nipun has said[+5],  u can run "show license feature all" which give more detail of licenses.
