<extension>@<ip address> calling on CUCM

Dear Colleagues,

 

I have a CUCM registered DX80 and I would like to call some partners by <extension>@<ip address> format.

I thought that the * or *.* SIP Route Pattern matches to this format, but it does not.

 

Is there any way to achive this kind of dialling?

Based on a Cisco documentation I have implemented the scenario below:

1. The user calls the 8378@109.239.231.232 address by the following format: 8378*109*239*231*232

2. The !*!*!*!*! route pattern forwards the call to Extpressay Control

3. On the Expressay Control a transform rule will change the string back to <extension>@<IP address>

  • Pattern: (\d*)\*(\d{1,3})\*(\d{1,3})\*(\d{1,3})\*(\d{1,3})(.*)
  • Replace string: \1@\2.\3.\4.\5
  • Transformed alias: 8378@109.239.231.232

Yes, but you'll need Cisco Expressway/VCS in your environment with B2B video configuration and licensed for Rich Media, do you have it?

Yes I have these and I successfully setup the IP calling.

I have problem with the <extension>@<ip address> calling only.

This solution didn't work for me.

 

Below is the call flow.

 

VC Endpoint registered on CUCM --> CUCM --> SIP-TRUNK --> EXP Core --> EXP Edge --> Internet

 

Route Pattern Configured on CUCM - !*!*!*!*!   [ Towards EXP Core Trunk ]

 

Dialed String from VC endpoint - 6814*192*68*101*101

 

VCS Receives Called Strings as - Dst-alias="sip:6814*192*68*101*101@10.20.3.55:5060"
