Message Notification not Working CUE

Hi,

I have configured all the requirements for CUE Message Notification, when i sent de test e-mail all works fine and it goes to the susriber email inbox, but when i leave a voice mail message the notification is not sent.

Please I will appreciate your help.

Ok all is working fine now,

The problem was the .wav attachment in the notification, my email server wasnt receiving it. I ask my email administrator to change the config to allow the email server to receive the .wav attachment and the notifications are delivered without any problem

Please check you have followed these steps:

Configuring Email notification: CLI

Here is summary of the steps to do this from the CLI:

To log into CUE from CME: session Service-Engine1/0 session

Configuring an SMTP Server

1. config t Done

2. smtp server address {Use ip-address}  ???This command doesn’t work.???

3. end

Configuring System-Wide Settings

1. config t

2. voicemail notification enable

3. voicemail notification preference {all | urgent}

4. voicemail notification email attach

5. voicemail configuration outgoing-email from-address

6. end

Enabling Message Notification for a Subscriber

1. config t

2. voicemail notification owner owner-id enable

Configuring Message Notification for E-mail

1. config t

2. username username profile vm-notif-profile email address

email-address

3. username username profile vm-notif-profile email enable

4. username username profile vm-notif-profile email attach

5. username username profile vm-notif-profile email preference {all |

urgent}

6. username username profile vm-notif-profile email schedule day

active from

to

7. username username profile vm-notif-profile email text

If you did, one reason why this might fail is that you selected "urgent" instead of "all" on the voicemail notification preference. If that's the case change it to to "All Messages" and try again.

All of this configuration is already done, i have selected  now all in notification preference but still not working.

As i mentioned, when I run the test email from de GUI and CLI, the e-mail is delivered to the suscriber email inbox without any problem, but when I leave a voice mail message in the suscriber extension, the notification is not sent.

Maybe you solved it, but for anyone else searching..

We also were having the same problem.  I followed my same setup as the past 8 CME/CUE setups, but this one was a head scratcher.

The CME had been shutdown and move to it's new location, but it still didn't work.

Finally after trying everything and eventually breaking the SMTP - it wouldn't even send test emails - I reloaded the CUE. 

Literally typed reload in the CUE CLI and it started working and has been ever since.
