Moving IP phones to different UCM

I have two UCM systems and I want to move some of phones from one UCM to the other as painlessly as possible.  I've tried moving one but it won't register to the other UCM even after changing the voice vlan on its port for the new UCM and resetting the switch port to reboot the phone.  All signs indicate that I'll have to do factory resets on them, but that will be a nightmare.  Is there any other practical way to switch these phones from one UCM to the other?

Thanks for the quick reply and solutions.  I've got a quote request out for PhoneView.  I have a few hundred phones to move!
