Network Readiness testing

Hi all,

We are doing a UC readiness assessment and discussing "Network Path Analysis" to get numbers for jitter, MOS score, latency.  At what "load" are these test performed at to get meaning full data?

In other works if know there is a possibility that between call manager and SiteX is 100 concurrent calls, should we test at max load of 100 concurrent calls or would a smaller sample provide just as good information?

Thank you,

Sam

Hi Sahong,

I believe in such scenarios we should first check the number of expected calls in the Busy hour against the link capability.

Tool for calculating bandwidth over different types of networks.

Max concurrent calls should be generated along with data traffic as that is when you would come to know the requirement of different resources and also this where the QOS would kicks in.

From the results you will have a good idea if the QOS and other configuration performed what they were supposed to or not.

one of the blog which i came across.
