OCS 2007 R2 to CUCM 8.5 PSTN long distance 500 Internal Server Erro

I have a direct sip trunk setup, and internal 4 digit dialing between the  systems works great.. Also PSTN dialing for all local numbers work fine.

However when I try and call a number in a different area code I hear a busy signal and on the cisco gatway a 500 Internal Server Error appears.

Now the odd thing is that a local call made as if it where long distance works, IE 1 555 555-1224 assuming 555 is local however 1 444 555-1224 fails. So I know the pattern is matching.

The issue was resolved by chaing the outbound caller ID number... for some reason it worked for local numbers in the format 15551234 but not long distance... Removing the 1 so it was 5551234 fixed the problem.

Hi there,

Is this RCC or EV?

Can you verify that the call is being Normalized, also are you seeing the correct called number from OCS to the VoIP GW?

Regards,

Justin
