Please, this will be very helpful if someone can assit me with this:
We need to set up "paging" so that a person can dial a single number a the call will go to the speakers of a designated group of phones and broadcast the message out.
We have the following:
Cisco Unified CM Administrator 7.1.3
Cisco Application Administration - 7.0(1)SR05
We have the following models of IP Phones: 7940,7960, and 7941
We are in a clinical setting and need to establish a paging system and hope that are current IP Phones can be used to support Paging. Next, can anyone point me to the most appropriate configuration guides for creating a Paging system?
We have:
2821 routers
c2800nm-adventerprisek9-mz.124-24.T2.bin with P00307020200 in Flash
3560 switches
c3560-ipbasek9-mz.122-53.SE
Here is my problem: the doc listed in the link below for CME configs says I should use "ephone-dn" but that command is not avaiable on the router. My only option was "ephone-type"...

Any insight into this would be very nice...thanks in advance!

CUCM does not support paging natively, for that you have to buy an external product.
CME commands and features do not apply to CUCM.

Hi Bill,
Like Paolo nicely noted, You would need a third
party app like one of these listed below
SynApps SA-Announce -
IPCelerate
http://www.ipcelerate.com/assets/docs/IPcelerate_ER.pdf
Singlewire Informacast
http://www.cisco.com/web/strategy/docs/education/BerbeePSP_0115.pdf
Cheers!
