Is it possible to create a safe list of allowed incoming phone numbers at an extension level? For example could we keep our entire phone system as is but for one extension (example extension 5154) have it setup as to allow incoming calls only if they are on a short brief list of phone numbers. We are looking for creative ways to help with scam calls going to residents that are not in the state of mind to deal with them.

I mean... you can kinda do that... If you want true white/black list capabilities you will need to look at 3rd party solutions. However you can use a translation patters triggering off ! and select "route next hop by calling party number" then create a translation patter with the calling party number and set it to block. In addition if you can block anonymous calls with a CM parameter to get the unknowns, and the known calling parties.
