Placing Calls from every application CTI

Hi

we have to migrate our costumers from an old BPX to Cisco VOIP. On the old PBX exists an old CTI client and this CTI client has a big advantage. It's possible to mark a phone number in any application and press a (self defined) key (example F6 or F7) and the client places the call. The CTI client adds automaticly a leading 0 for outside calls.

Is there a way to realize this with Cisco Personal Communicator or has Cisco Jabber for Windows a solution for this? Is there a reason why such a feature is missing?

I'm open for tipps. Maybe it's needed to program an own application with SDK or there is a freeware to extend  the CTI functions in UPC oder Jabber.

At the end Cisco Jabber should have such a feature.

Thx for help

You can build application dial rules that will essentially do the same thing.

Hi

To add the leading 0? That's not problem... the main thing is the dialing from every application with pressing a key on the keyboard.

Greetings Phil

You can use Cisco Click to Call application which is compatible with MSFT Office products, most browsers, PDFs, etc.
