Prepend Inbound Caller ID

We are looking for a way to prepend a string on inbound caller IDs for known bad numbers. For example, we would add known bad callers to a list and when they called in the Caller ID displayed on our employee phones would say 'BAD - <original name>' or something like that.

If you’re using SIP between CUCM and the gateway you could use A SIP Profile to modify the PAI or RPID headers; however, this isn’t going to scale beyond a couple dozen numbers.

If you had a large quantity of these the only other option I can think of is a TCL script on the gateway that queries an external data source. That’s not a lightweight solution though; for planning purposes I would assume TCL will half the theoretical CPS throughput of the chassis.
