removal of Auto Attendant ....

Hi Gurus,

I am having some problems with the UC 520 namely,

1) Is it possible to remove the auto attendant?

2) I would like when people call in to the main line, it would be diverted to a voice hunt group.
The voice hunt group has already been configured as show below,
    voice hunt-group 1 sequential
    final 3399
    list 3309,3317,3318,3315
    timeout 10
    pilot 3380

Hi Alex,

Yes this is possible, you just need to change the connection plar of the voice ports to point to the pilot number of the hunt group.

Gabriel.

Hi Gabriel,

1.     Thanks for info. But how do i go about changing the connection plar to point to the pilot number?

try googling but to no avail ...

For example if you have a line in an FXO port:

voice-port 0/0/0

    connection plar 3380

Gabriel.

Thanks once again.
Does the code look something like below,

voice-port 0/0/0
station-id name FAX-MACHINE
station-id number 12345678
!
voice-port 0/0/1

I guess you received the calls through an E1/T1, also I guess you have a DID service?

Can you post the dial-peer configuration.

Gabriel.

I am not sure what do you mean by E1/T1?

Indeed i am using a DID service.

Hi Gabriel,

I changed the destiniation-pattern to the pilot number that is 3380 as shown in the previous reply.
But all i get is a dead tone. Wonder what's wrong?
meanwhile i am still researching on it ...

dial-peer voice 2001 voip
description ** cue auto attendant number **
translation-profile outgoing PSTN_CallForwarding
destination-pattern 3398
b2bua
session protocol sipv2
session target ipv4:IP ADDRESS
dtmf-relay sip-notify
codec g711ulaw
no vad

You got a busy tone because in the unity express you don't have an application associated with that number (3380).

Now you can try making a translation rule that change the main number to the pilot number, then you can create a dial-peer pots with incoming called number the main number and apply the translation profile there.

Gabriel.

Hi Garbiel,

thanks anway. What i did was to make some changes as shown below,

dial-peer voice 2001 voip
description ** cue auto attendant number **
translation-profile outgoing PSTN_CallForwarding
destination-pattern 3380 - > call hunt pilot number
b2bua
session protocol sipv2
session target ipv4:10.1.12.1
dtmf-relay sip-notify
codec g711ulaw
no vad

=======

voice translation-rule 10
rule 1 /12345678/ /3380/ (changed it to the pilot number.

Once again, thaks for the help rendered,

but now i have another problem, how do i go about configuring auto attendant for use after office hours?

Could you once again enlighten me again?

You can use the Unity Express autoattendant, download the CUE editor from Cisco, with this you can configure your own scripts. You can use the "day of week" and "time of day" step to send the call to a hunt group during office hours, during nights you can use the "play prompt" step to play the .wav to the callers to tell them that the office is already closed.

Take a look to this link, so you can check more or less how this work.http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps5520/products_tech_note09186a008041d950.shtml#intro

It is important to say that you will need to send the call from your UC500 voiceports to a dial-peer that points to the Unity Express IP address, with autoattendant calling number as the destination pattern of this dial-peer.

Gabriel.
