Is there documentation for how to do this? We need the voicemails which are for our Covid response line.

I'm assuming you can't access the mailbox not because you are locked out, but because after the user left the mailbox was deleted. If that is the case:
If you have an existing backup of the message store, you can use the "DRS Message Restore" tool on ciscounitytools.com (along with "DRS Decryption Tool") to extract messages for a specific mailbox from a backup. It's not a 'quick and easy' tool, but it will do what you ask.

The user left and their ID was removed from LDAP so the phone is no longer associated, meaning when they press the voicemail button they can't access the VMs.
Her userid is still in Unity, so I reset her "Web Applications" password to something more generic and passed it along to the group that needed it. Now they go to <servername>/inbox and login with that userid/pwd.
