SIP SP IP Requirement for CUBE HA

Hi all,

currently i am planning to do CUBE redundancy with HA.

i've read this documentation:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/voice-unified-communications/unified-border-element/112095-cube-hsrp-config-00.html

On that documentation, 2 CUBE connect to 1 SIP SP (i attached the picture).

my query, then I need 3 ip address from SIP SP right?

because usually in my country, SIP SP only provide ip address with /30 subnet. 1 ip for the SIP SP then 1 ip for me (customer).

but for this kind of scenario, in my understanding then we need at least /29 subnet from SIP SP. Because I need 3 ip address then 1 ip address for SIP SP.

please someone kindly help to clarify my query.

Thanks,

Josua

Yes I do believe you would need to have 3 IP addresses on your side for HSRP. So a total of 4 IPs would at a minimum be required on your link network to the ITSP. Are the SP using public or private IPs on the link network?
