SIP vs H323 trunks between CME to CUCM

Hi,

We have CME in Singapore and CUCM in swiss. IF we want to create a trunk which one would recommendable either H323 or SIP?

Please do clarify.

You mean to say eventhough lesser verison of 8.5 CUCM we can use  SIP trunk between CUCM to CME ?

Hi Abhilash,

No, I didn't meant that. As my friends mentioned before, if you are running below version 8, SIP is not preferred because of various known issues. However if you're running 8+, then you've choice to use either H.323 and SIP. In that case, my vote is to use SIP because of reasons I mentioned before.

Currently we are running with 7.1.5 call manager and it need a trunk to CME about to  deployed in Singapore.

glad  for information sharing and nice taking to you. The metioned details i'm aware of but clarification on best suites on the specific version end..
