Running CUCM 9.12 and wondering how to add the new VG310 in. Does the Voice ports need to be configered on the Gateway first before adding it to CUCM?

Hey there..

Here are basic configs once you have the CUCM side complete..Items in bold are just notes for reference. Did this on the fly so fi you get stuck let me know.

Prior to making these changes though do you see all ports listed 0-23 using the standard format of 0/0/0-0/0/23 listed under the gateway in your CUCM?

CHANGE THE X to your SUBS

sccp local Loopback0
sccp ccm X.X.X.X identifier 1 version 7.0
sccp ccm X.X.X.X identifier 2 version 7.0
sccp ccm X.X.X.X identifier 3 version 7.0

CREATE YOUR CCM GROUP AND BIND TO YOUR LOOPBACK OR INTERFACE

sccp ccm group 1
 bind interface Loopback0
 associate ccm 1 priority 1
 associate ccm 2 priority 2
 associate ccm 3 priority 3

TURN ON SCCP

sccp

BIND GROUP TO STCAPP AND TURN THAT ON

stcapp ccm-group 1
stcapp

VOICE PORT SHOULD LOOK SOMETHING LIKE THIS (customize as needed)

voice-port 0/0/0
 input gain -3
 timeouts ringing infinity
 caller-id enable

DIAL PEER SOMETHIGN LIKE THIS (customize as needed)

dial-peer voice 100 pots
 service stcapp
 fax rate disable
 port 0/0/0

Hi,

Please ensure that you are running 9.1(2)SU2 or later. You can add it on CUCM or configure the gateway first as per the following

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/routers/access/vg350/software/configuration/guide/vg350_scg/scgappa.html

Is there any good documentation on setting it up in CUCM 9.1.2SU2?

Which protocol would you be using?

Manish

SCCP

The procedure would be similar to adding a VG224 as explained in following video

I have seen this video I am not getting any ports to show up once I add the gateway.

Are you not getting something like this when you add a VG310 as SCCP?

I got this screen now I think we had a firwwall rule that got pushed last night so now CUCM can at least see it.

For the VG310 to be seen by the CUCM do I have to enable the Call manager Application on the gateway. What commands do I use for that?

Would you have a config example of what a phone port should look like on a VG310?

I see all ports in CUCM. bind interface Loopback 0. Is there a place I  can get this off my Old VG248? I get this when entered

vg31-01(config)#sccp local Loopback0
                                                            ^
% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.

Are you using a loopback with your 310 or just direct interfaces?

I don't think we are using loopback how do I tell? Thanks again for your time I am new to the VG310's and even the VG248's.
