Synchronizing users & groups in LDAP

In CUCM we are already synchronizing users via LDAP. I would like to start synchronizing users & groups in LDAP but by doing this would anything be affected? I'm expecting it to just populate the user group field  without any issues but need to make sure nothing gets affected.

Nothing is affected by enabling the sync of groups in CUCM
