System Domain Name Changes on 11.5. Should we perform "Prepare Cluster for Rollback to pre 8.0" Feature?

We will be changing our server domain names on our CUCM 11.5 cluster (inc IM&P). The host and ip address will remain the same, just the FQDN will change.

In the process documents for 10.x or >, there doesn't seem to be the need to perform the  "Prepare Cluster for Rollback to pre 8.0" Feature?"

We use non-secure cluster security, with our phones using ITL certs.

Wanted to know if anyone performed operating system DNS changes >10.x and found to have ITL certs issues post change, without using the pre 8.0 feature, or should we just use that feature anyway as a precaution?

Many thanks in advance.

Sharon

As long as you don't go and change them one right after the other, or try to do them all at the same time, there should be no problems
