Hi,
just installed the cupc 8.0 but cant get the softphone up and registered, it seems like the softphone is disabled in the client.
Anyone have any nkowledge about this and any configuration tip / places to check ?
I have run the troubleshooting tool, and it seems like the cfg file etc is ok, troubleshooter cup is all green etc, and i can log into the cupc klient etc.

Hi Runar,
Have you configured the CUCM? Sorry if I state the obvious but you do need to configure the CUCM side for CUPC to work as a softphone. Go to the "Device" menu on CUCM, select CUPC as the type and fill in the details for each user.

hi,
yes i have configured the cucm but maybe not correct
I was of the understanding that the cupc used the csf and should be configured in the cucm as a csf device and not a cupc for cupc 8.0, could someone clarify ?

As far as I know, you should be able to configure it with CSF but also CUPC device type. Make sure you run compatible versions too: CUPC 8 needs CUPS 8.0.2, which i believe is in beta now. Have a look at the below link on this community for more documentation and support:
