Hi,

Several models of the Cisco 79xx series IP phones, such as the 7940/41/60/61/35/36 are End of Sale  and End of Support. All customers with these EOS endpoints can benefit from by refreshing to new portfolio of Cisco 7800 and 8800 series phones or Video endpoints. Customers can derive business as well as operational benefits, while taking advantage of attractive trade-in programs. The Cisco IP phones 8851 and 8861 add Bluetooth that enable Intelligent Proximity (8851 and 8861), USB Charging (8851 and 8861), and Wireless capabilities (8861). The Cisco IP phone 8831 is a simple, scalable solution that meets the challenges of the most diverse rooms, with encryption and flexibility for wired or wireless extension mics. There are significant operational benefits such as the reduced power consumption as a result of energywise feature built into these phones.

How to Refresh?

Step 1:Identify the EOS endpoints using CUCM Upgrade Central tool, which calls out the EOS endpoints

Step 2: Use the Recommended refresh options to replace EOS phone with new 7800 or 8800 series phones

Step 3: Use available trade-in promotions to refresh your old endpoints
