Unity 4.2.1 Upgrade?

Hello All,

We are currently running Unity 4.2.1 integrated with Exchange 2003 (32 ports)- Our UCM cluster is 6.1.4 and planning to upgrade to 7.1.3- We wanted to upgrade our Unity to 7, before upgrade we really wanted to know if we should upgrade to Unity Connection 7 or Unity 7- What will be Pros and Cons of Unity 7 or Unity Connection 7 upgrade in our environment?

Also we will be upgrading our Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010 depending on our Exchange upgrade which Unity platform will be better choice?

Hi Anwar,

Speaking to the Unity vs. UC question; you'll want to read the release

notes for both products to see all of the differences. Roughly

speaking, UC is more "contained" where you don't have as much

interaction with Microsoft products and the mail store is

self-contained. Unity, you probably know the drill with Microsoft

involvement... As far as your company upgrading to Exchange 2010, it's

not supported with any version of Unity yet, so if you go that route,

you'd have no choice but to do without Unity until Exchange 2010 becomes

qualified and tested. Currently no ETA on supported date.
