Unity 4.2 Upgrade to Unity 7/8 or Unity Connection 7/8?

Hi There,

I am after some advice on a Unity Upgrade, I have to carry out an upgrade of a Unity 4.2 server on same hardware it is VM only and running on Win2000. I have CUWL licencing so I can upgrade to either Unity or Unity Connection, I know I need a complete rebuild of either Win 2003 or Unity CNX 7/8 are both migration routes the same, is there any benefit of one over the other? Would you move to Unity 8 over 7 is it mature enough now?

I plan on carrying out COBRAS export of old Unity 4 (No VM's)

carry out COBRAS export of old Unity 4 VM's

replace hard drive for fallback

Install new software

run COBRAS import

run cobras import of VM's

Any advice appreaciated.
