Unity 8.03 Install from upgrade media

Hello All,

I am building a new Unity 8.03 server using the upgrade media. The old 4.2 server died and I was brought into resolve the problem. The problem is that the old Cisco Data Store 2000 that we used in the 4.2 server is not the same Data Store 2000 that now ships with Unity 8.0. I can't find any information on what is differant about the file structure. I tried to manually install SQL 2005 Express, but the setup assistant does not recognize the SQL installed. I am in Africa trying to install this, but running out of time on the contract. Cisco TAC has said either need to purchase the Data Store DVD, which is not really orderable by itself, or rebuild a 4.21 Unity and go through the upgrade. I don't want to have to go through that hassle. Has anyone played with SQL 2005 Express in their lab and manually installed it successfully? Any assistance is appreciated.

Thank you,

Kevin

I would think that you should manually be able to install SQL without issue. I did install SQL 2005 in lab manually and the install when fine in the past.

However, here are some alternate ideas:

1. You could install 8.0.3 with the datastore 2000 CD you have then upgrade to SQL 2005:

2. If you think you possibly have some bad CDs you could request replacements by following directions at the following link:

Thanks,
