Unity & Call Forwarding

Hi,

I'm using UCM & Unity Connection 8.6 and have the following problem:

Calls to the attendant user (ext 100) are forwarded to voice mail.

Another "normal" user (ext 200) has forwarded all calls to his phone to the attendant extension 100.

When you call user (200) you can here his personal message and NOT the message of the attendant.

Why the message of the attendant isn't played?

Thanks for any suggestions

Marcus

Hi Marcus,

This is actually working as designed

Unity Connection (by default) uses the Originally Dialed Number

when routing calls to the applicable voicemail box.

You can have a look into this System Wide setting which is available in Unity Connection;

Via

Cisco Unity Connection Administration

Advanced (towards the bottom of the page)

Conversation Configuration

**Use Last (Rather than First) Redirecting Number for Routing Incoming Call**

You would need to think about what impact this might have on your setup.

Cheers!
