Unity Connection 10.5 vs 11.0 EOS/EOL dates

I was wondering if someone could explain the inconsistencies in EOS/EOL dates for Unity Connection. Unity Connection 10.5 shows end of software maintenance releases in mid-2020, with end of support July 31, 2022. Yet a presumably more current version of the software, 11.0, has a cryptic EOL notice showing end of software maintenance releases in 2018, with no date listed for end of support. According to TAC, 11.0 is no longer supported, though - we placed a service call about 11.0.1 earlier this week and were told we were unsupported. Why is an older version still under support for at least three more years?

Because with the current numbering (.0 and .5) for the versions, the x.5 are the long term releases while the x.0 will have a shorter span of life.

Hi there

And also for production environments , stay away from a “dot zero” release, and ALWAYS go with "dot 5 version"

Hope this Helps

Cheers
Rath!
