Unity Connection 2.x Account Locked!

Hi,

We're using Unity Connection 2.0.1 and I cannot login to GUI administration page. Account has been locked and I can't unlock it.

How can I unlock the administration account?

Hi Adnan,

I'm not positive about Unity Connection 2.x but for 7.x the cli is as follows;

utils cuc reset password (Cisco Unity Connection Only)

This command resets the password for a specified user account.

Syntax

utils cuc reset password

Requirements

Command privilege level: 1

Allowed during upgrade: Yes

Example

admin:utils cuc reset password jdoe
Enter password:
Re-enter password:
jdoe
07/29/2008 12:41:14.704 : Update SUCCEEDED

So for you it might be

utils cuc reset password cuadmin

Cheers!
Rob

Sorry bu that command is not working. I take an error message when I entered that command like "Executed command unsuccessfully, No valid command entered.".

Images are below. What should I do?

Best regards,

Adnan Sendogdular

Hi Adnan,

I'm looking at your screen shots and the version shown is;

6.0.1. 2000-4

not CUC 2.x??

Is this a Business Edition set up or perhaps we have accessed the wrong box??

Cheers!

Rob

Hey Rob,

6.0.1 = CUC 2.0.1... the first appliance model release of CUC ever.

Adnan,

Please upgrade the first chance you have...   There have been many, many, severe issues resolved since the version you are still using.   I'd first suggest trying "utils reset_ui_administrator_password", but I think that had some issues in CUC 2.0 too... e.g. CSCsk61589, CSCsi41335

If necessary, please call into the TAC... there might be some way via root access.

Kind regards,

Craig

Hey Craig,

Well you learn something new every day I had no idea that the version would look like that.

+5 for this great info! Thanks for setting me straight here.

Happy Holidays!

Rob
