Unity Connection 8.6 Mailbox Store, free up disk space

I am in the process of moving mailboxes to a new Mailbox store.  The number of mailboxes and disk space increase with the move to the new store.  The number of mailboxes decrease on the old store, but not the disk space has not changed.  Is there a process to run to free up the space on the old store?
