Hello all,
I'm having strange problems with my Unity ver. 8.6(2a). The integration is set-up in sccp.
Some users are receiving mute calls from CTI ports configured as Voice Mail Ports for Unity.
What is the main reason why a CTI port makes a call to a user extension?
Ideas are very appreciated.
Thanks
Lorenz

Lorenz,
The VM system uses CTI ports that are assigned as TRAP ports to record and or playback recordings on a phone. So a user can log into the CUC User page and record a greeting using a phone and the system would call the using the CTI port. One possibility is that a user is typing the wrong extension when performing a record or playback.

Hi Yosh,
I mean VM ports and not CTI ports... Sorry.
Why a VM port calls a user? What are the possible reasons?

For VM notification, TRAP, record a greeting, call transfer.
If you can replicate the problem, try using the port status monitor to see what you get.
