Unity Platform CD

How do you get new Unity OS installation CD's or do you have to order a new server from Cisco to gain access to them? I have ordered several Unity upgrade cd/dvd's from PUT and the platform cd/dvd does not ship with upgrades. the only OS CD/DVD that I can order from PUT is an upgrade from 2000 to 2003. I am trying to create a fresh install in the lab and wanted to use the Unity OS installation CD/DVD instead of the windows server OS.

The platform disc does not ship with the upgrade UNLESS, the OS was ordered. So the order has to included

- Unity 4.x/5.x upgrade

- Windows OS 2003 (or upgrade)

Im not sure of the part numbers because I am more on the Post side of sales.

You can use a regular Windows 2003 disc on the MCS servers, that is not a problem. Unity will still function the same.

There is not an option for ordering the OS, only an upgrade from 2000 to 2003. I have had sasu since our initial purchase in 2001 and ordering the OS using PUT has never been an option (only upgrades). I do have the original CD's but they look for a raid 5 setup instead of a mirror, therefore they fail.

yeah, not sure then. I would check with your local SE on which option that would be to get the platform disc. I know it's a partnumber, but I do not know which one it is.

The upgrade from 2000 to 2003 requires this part #:

UNITY-OS-UPG-K9= Unity OS Upgrade - 2000 to 2003 - For SASU/UCSS ONLY

It includes the following CD/DVDS:

- Cisco Unity Platform Configuration for MCS-7815-I3 and MCS-7825-I3 series servers, IBM xSeries-x3250

- Cisco Unity Operating System 2003 (French)

- Cisco Unity Operating System 2003 (German)
