Upgrade from CUCM ver 7.1.5.30000-1 to Latest CUCM version "11.5"

Dears

I need to perform an upgrade for Unified Solution installed as follow:

Hardware: All hardware are UCS - B200 Type.

we have installation for the following:

Call Manager consists of : Publisher, Subscriber, Backup Subscriber, TFTP&MOH "ver 7.1.5.30000-1"

Unity Connection "ver 8.6.2.20000-76"

IVR "ver 8.5.1.10000-37"

CUEAC : "ver V9.1.1.20"

Currently we plan to upgrade to the latest version of the CUCM and also to the rest of Cisco Apps.

and I need help to know the following:

1- how to perform upgrade?

2- What is the upgrade path should I follow to reach latest version 11.5?

3- when i will perform Standard upgrade and Refresh upgrade?

4- Regarding upgrade process itself can any one support me to use CPD to make it easier?

You need to review the following docs:

A) Upgrade guide

B) Release notes

They will contain all the information you would require for this.

The first RU will be when you upgrade to 8.6

PCD will not work for an upgrade, it will only work for a migration, but if you do choose to perform a migration and not an upgrade (and they're not the same thing, they're very different things), yes it would help as it would be a one step migration from 7.1(5) to 10.x+
