If you are doing an in server upgrade there will be downtime. Either change the incoming number to point to a receptionist extension so that he/she can handle incoming calls during the down time or set up another server with Uconn temporarily while this one is being built. Most customers are fine having temporary downtime for Auto attendants/VM during a weekend.

Thanks

Thanks Srinivasan,

I am upgrading RAM of my current system and i wll upgrade the CUC v7.1 to CUC v9.1 as per your previous mail,

Now i just want some more clearance regarding my incoming and out going calls are gonig to offline while doing the upgrade of CUC v7.1 to CUC v9.1

As per my understanding it will deffinetly affect the all users phones as per below points

1. Because if we look in to the current setup at company place, for example, if i do the call from out side to inside my company it will first play the greetings "WELCOME TO FORTUNE NETWORK LTD" and etc,,,, after this it will ask for the EXTENTION number if you wish to speak with anybudy inside the company from outside of the company,,as per this setup you have to have dial the extention number unless or untill it will not possible.

2. I have only the single CUC v7.1 not in the cluster and secondary option for it.

3. Can anybudy assist alternet option with i may be get interrupt with CUC functionality(voicemail) only, and i can able to do call outside to inside and vice versa.

4. How it will possible with minimum down time ? because as per my current setup i am not able to see any way to get this complite in minimum down time,

I really apriciate the support if some one assist the same....

if you guys want more information on my current setup please you all are requisted to ask any time..

I like to leave my voicemail hunt pilot with a forward busy and forward no answer to go the receptionist so should an unexpected outage occur there is a coverage instead of people just getting a fast busy when the voice mail ports are unregistered.

Thanks Jeffness,

sorry, I did not understand your point,

can you please discribe once again,  i realy appriciate Jeff..

Thnks for your instant reply,

I got your point, will you please describe littel more on it with example so, i will not miss any single point and i finish the activity in minimum down time..

Thanks & Regards,
