Hi,
Is there a documentation on how to directly upgrade CUCM 7.0(2) to 8.0(3). Thanks in advance.
Sharleen
Have you seen the upgrade guide, the steps should remain the same
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/cucos/8_0_1/cucos/iptpch7.html
Thanks
Srini
Is this applicable when you're upgrading to 8.0? Under supported upgrades, all I can see are:
Upgrading to Cisco Unified Communications Manager Release 6.0(1) or Later from a Release Prior to Release 6.0(1)
Upgrading to Cisco Unified Communications Manager Release 7.0(1) or Later from a Release Prior to Release 6.0(1)
Upgrading from Cisco Unified Communications Manager Release 5.1(3e) to 7.1.x Releases
When I order upgrade license from Cisco (migration license), do you think they will send a DVD that has a fresh installation of CUCM 8.0 or an upgrade path to 8.0 that will still retain the existing configurations in their existing system?
Regards,
Sharleen
You will see the upgrade guide on the following page:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/prod_installation_guides_list.html
In the 8.0 upgrade doc, what you are looking at are the upgrades to 7 and 6, which allow you to upgrade to 8.0.
Thanks,
Ben
Additionally, upgrades from a major release CUCM 5x to 6x or 5x to 7x ; or 6x to 8x; or 7x to 8x; will have a very specific disc that is used to upgrade the software. The installation disc will not work for an upgrade.
Ordering the media is the only way to get the correct media.
