I am struggling something to confirm how the recording works when you have the following scenario.
Webex Meeting Centre (Active Hosts) - for web and video
Meetingplace 8.5 - for audio
Is recording available to capture the Web, Video and Audio?
if yes then is that recorded and stored centrally or on the local users PC ?
Thanks

Hi
When you select record from the webex client it causes WebEx to dial a "recording user" into the meetingplace conference.
When the meeting is finished it merges the recording from meetingplace into the web and video recording components in the cloud and then stores these for visibility on the webex site
Cheers,
With WebEx scheduling it always NBR. Storing locally isn’t supported. SMS/EMS cannot record video, for that HMS is required for recording standards based video. But I don’t see why one couldn’t capture webcam video inside WebEx using WebEx scheduling mode.
I have an email exchange with Bobbie that Cisco only supported video recording in MP scheduling mode and not WebEx scheduling mode I believe that only applies to standard based end points and not WebEx web cam….caveats galore
I am sure either Bobbie or John Dedell can keep me honest here..
Thanks

Interesting stuff, I am looking at WebEx scheduling and only interested in recording WebEX video so that should be ok I think, my main concern was on the Voice side since the voice bridge is the MeetingPlace server on the premises whereas the rest of the Web and video elements are in the cloud.
If it is being recorded in the cloud how does it capture the on premises voice?
