WebEX unit configuration

There is a WebEX unit having issue calling external meeting room in our corporate network. It works fine if make and receive calls internally. This has never worked before externally.

I noticed that there is a proxy IP address 101.178.102.4 under the SIP setting of the unit.

I was told to whitelist below traffic to allow traffic between the site unit and Cisco WebEX. My question is what's the purpose of the Proxy server with IP 101.178.102.4 and will the unit try to talk to the proxy first, once connection established, the proxy will take over and route the traffic to wherever it needs to go to? What should I do to get the call going on the external resource?

What should I do to get the call going on the external resource?

Do you mean external resources by other domains or other businesses?

You need to open a case with Cisco TAC to see what is exactly happening at proxy side.

Hi, thanks a lot for your reply.  I was just trying to figure out the route is selected on the router when the call is placed. So let me confirm to make a call either internally (within corporate network) or externally (with resource outside of the corporate network) the WebEX MX300 must talk to the proxy first and then traffic gets routed to Cisco WebEX servers from where the proxy is at.

My original thought was like the MX300 would talk directly to the Cisco WebEX servers. So the firewall policy to whitelist those Cisco WebEX servers and range of ports should be placed on the firewall as close to the proxy right?
