Back in July we announced Project Starship along with a Tech Preview of a product that would later be launched as Cisco Intersight. While it is not common that we release an internal project codename, we felt that in the spirit of the original ‘Project California’, the codename for Cisco UCS (Unified Computing System), warranted that we solicit feedback from our customers prior to the formal announcement and launch. In September, we formally announced Cisco Intersight as the product name and going forward we will use this name in all external communications.
Cisco Intersight Update:
We are pleased to announce that the Cisco Intersight Base was launched today for General Availability and is live at: https://intersight.com. This capability is available at no additional cost to existing Cisco UCS and Cisco Hyperflex customers who are on supported platforms.

The launch of Cisco Intersight Base includes a number of features that we have tested through the course of the Tech Preview for Cisco UCS Manager, IMC Software and Cisco Hyperflex. Accounts created during the Tech Preview will be automatically migrated to Cisco Intersight, enabling a seamless transition for users. This launch is for the Base offering which is available to all Cisco UCS and Cisco HyperFlex customers who have eligible systems.
