Are you looking at getting the CDP information when you click the baloon next to the vminc in the vswitch?

you can enable cdp on both direction on a distributed vswitch in graphical.

a VMware vsphere standard switch have cdp on listen mode activate by default, if you want to activate in both direction (to see vSphere server interface from your Cisco Switch ) you have to activate in command line

looks like I needed to enabled cdp in the network control policy. by default it was disabled.
