Currently all of our Emelux HBA firware version 2.82A4 onto all of C 200 series server. After installing Hitachi multi pathing software (HDLM) windows 2003 servers ended up with blue screen. Now Hitachi is saying that current HBA version is not supported by HDLM and it should be STOR  Miniport 2.33.008 or less. It would be greatly appreicated if anybody give or share ideas to downgrade HBA firware? I am pretty much new with Cisco servers. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thank you

Chandra,

If the C 200 is managed by UCSM, it's a simple task.  You simply can change FW versions of the adapters via the GUI using a Host Firmware Package.  Instructions for this can be found on the UCS support pages.  Keep in mind any FW versions offered will be supported by Cisco.  Earlier versions may not.

If the C 200 is a standalone server (not managed by UCSM), then you will need to use one of the Emulex HBA utilities to flash the firmware on the card.

Q. Which model of Emulex HBA do you have exactly?

You can pull down the FW and flash util from the Emulex Website.  You'll just need to ensure you select the correct model and select "Previous Versions" tab when looking for the FW revision.

Ex.

I don't see many FW versions earlier than 2.50.x, so if you can't find it on their website you may need to contact Emulex directly.

Regards,

Robert
