Should the new blade server firmware match the existing server and UCSM firmware?

Hello!

This time, the UCSM with firmware of 4.0(4b) and the server with firmware of 4.1 or higher will be newly installed.
Previously, the firmware of the new server was adapted to the existing firmware by applying the firmware policy, but as it passed, I did not feel the need for that, so I ask a question.

1. What are the advantages of having the same firmware in the same domain? Or is there a problem because the firmware is different?

Thanks..

Please see the cross dependancy requirements at https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/unified_computing/ucs/release/notes/CiscoUCSManager-RN-4-1.html#concept_u3g_211_qjb

UCSM should be equal or higher than the C series for major revision differences.

Revisions have bug fixes, and in some cases support for newer hardware.

Consistency makes for easier troubleshooting.
