We're wondering how UCS decides which FC port on the 6120 Fabric Interconnects to send fc traffic out of?
We have four fc ports per Fabric Interconnect.
Our storage engineer is working on zoning and network documentation and he is asking how we can tell what decides which of the 4 ports per FI that the WWN for a particular blade server's fc interfaces is going to come out of...
Thanks!

Mike,
If you have configured indivdual links, with no trunk and no pinning, then it should assign round-robbin and is static unless there is disruption (host reboot, link fail). If you are connected to an MDS that can support NPV trunk (TNP), then you should do so. In TNP traffic should hash src-dst-oxid to the available links.

Hi Mike,
Zoning needs to be done based on the server vHBA (Initiator) WWPN with the storage (Target) WWPN. You basically don't need to worry about the FC uplink port which carries the traffic.
Hope this helps.
